Black Friday

Well, our Thanksgiving was great!!! We had Tyrone's mom, brother, sister-in-law and a friend over for dinner. Everything tasted wonderful and to top things off Tyrone was able to come home at 5:30pm so that made it even better.

Everyone was gone by 8:00pm and the kids were in bed. We were headed to bed when I got a call from my babysitter saying that she was sick and could not babysit for me in the morning (I was going to brave the cold weather and go up to Prescott for the shopping deals they had at the stores). Any how, we were on the phone till 9:00pm trying to find a sitter. We finally broke down and asked Tyrone's mom to babysit and she is such a life saver and said "yes"

I left Bagdad at 2:00am and got to Wal-Mart at 3:30am. Stood in line till 5:00am and got some really great deals. I am glad that I was able to go. I just wish that I could have talked Clint into taking a nap so that I could lay down. Oh well. It was well worth it.

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and if you went shopping I hope that you got everything that you wanted and then some.

Family Pictures

On our way home from Camp Wood we saw these two cows fighting. They did not even care that we were standing there taking pictures.
This is Patti's pet deer. She is three years old and it is funny to hear the stories of what she does. She gets down on all four legs to eat the dog food when it is put out. She has even gone into the house while they were eating. She really does act like their pet.

Taking pictures with animals and kids don't mix.

We had to feed the deer dog food to get here to come to us with the kids standing there.

We decided that we were going to make our own Christmas cards again this year so we went to get a family picture taken with someone's pet deer. As you can tell by looking at the pictures it is quit difficult to get young children and animals to cooperate when it comes to taking pictures together. Needless to say we will be retaking the pictures because most of the good ones cut the top of Douglas's head off.

6 Years

This weekend we went down to Phoenix to celebrate our 6th anniversary. I cannot believe that I have known and been married to Tyrone for six years. We left for Phoenix Saturday morning so that we could do some shopping. Then we went to my parents house. We were all setting outside watching the kids play and the next thing we knew Douglas was crying. He had fallen next too a cactus and his right leg. I think we got them all out but his leg still looks bad. It must not have bothered him too bad because he continued running around and then played on the play ground at McDonalds.

Tyrone and I went to dinner at the Melting Pot in Scottsdale. What a place. It is a little on the pricey side but well worth it for a special event. It is not a place for young children because it takes about two hours to eat a four course meal. After dinner we went to a movie (which we haven't done in months). Wednesday is our actually anniversary but because it is in the middle of the week we celebrated a little early.

A funny thing that happened today while at church with my parents. The kids were all up at 4:00am and would not go back to sleep so around 9:30am they were ready for a nap. All of the kids (Clint. Douglas and my niece) feel asleep. During the middle of Sunday School Douglas wakes up and if you know Douglas he is not quiet. He says "Done, done" everyone starte laughing. Needless to say I hurried out the door and took him to nursery. Everyone thought it was funny and thought that he was cute. I couldn't help but laugh when it happened. My boys always seem to suprise me with things that they do and say. It is so fun watching them grow and learn.

That's My Boy!

Douglas always does something that makes me stop and think "you are just like your dad." So today I decided to vacuum the house while the boys were eating breakfast rather than shower. So by the time they were done eating I was ready to shower. I hate to leave Douglas unattended while I am in the shower because he gets into everything!!!!!!! So I move his high chair into the living room and buckle him in and give him some toys to play with. I get out of the shower and come out to check on the boys and Douglas has gotten out of his chair (buckle still done up) and is setting in the rocking chair.

We all are ready for church and I get the boys outside and lock the door. Douglas hurries over to talk to nippers (our dog) who is fenced in the side yard. No big deal it makes it easier to get Clint in the car and my things loaded so I turn around to go get Douglas and I don't see him in the yard he has managed to get past the fence and into nippers yard. How the heck did he do that. When he saw me coming he ran to the dog house and climbed in and would not come out. I had to threaten to spank him before he finally decided he should come out. When we got home from church he once again climbed into the yard to say "hi" to nippers again.

I just have to shake my head and laugh when Douglas does something. He is really just like his dad no matter what Tyrone says. It is great having two boys and is so funny to see how different they are. Clint is easy going and usually pretty good. Douglas is well sometimes my challenge. I was so happy two weeks ago we made it completely through sacrament meeting without having to leave. This week Douglas decided he was going to try and crawl under the pews. Not such a bad thing but as church was starting and he was still trying to crawl under the pews he was saying "bye, bye" You are so not leaving. So I decide to take him out and as we are walking past people he is telling them "bye". If it is the last thing I do he will learn to sit through sacrament metting. Maybe next week will be better as Tryone will be there to hold him.

Anyway I love my boys even when they want to stay home from church and play with the dog. They always make me laugh and I am glad that I have been blessed to raise them at this time.

Halloween

Here are just a few pictures of the boys at Halloween. My Mom sent the boys a card with money in it and they each got to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. Douglas was suppose to be a scarecrow but he did not like wearing the hat. Clint was a glow in the dark skeleton. They got tons of candy and had lots of fun.
