BodyBugg

I don't know about the rest of you but I really need to get rid of some of this extra weight that I have on my body. Tyrone and the boys got me the best Christmas present ever invented for losing weight. It is called the BodyBugg. You wear an arm band and a watch (shows you how many calories you have burned and much more) all day. At the end of the day you go online and upload all of your information onto the computer. You also type in what you ate and how much and it will tell you how many calories you ate for the day. It is suppose to be a great tool in helping people lose weight. Hopefully in three months I will be down 12 pounds.

Merry Christmas

I have been wanting to make our bedroom more "romantic" so for Christmas my mom got us this really pretty bed in a bag. The picture does not do it justice.
Mary, Linda, Cheyenne and Brandyn singing Ruldolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for the little program that we put on for Christmas Eve.

Everyone just sitting around visiting and relaxing.

Douglas was so funny when he saw his Santa gift he said "oooh"

Clint loved the Leapster2 that he got from Santa. It came with a Wall-E game

This is my handsome great nephew Gage. He is 4 1/2 months and is having surgery done on the 30th of this month to get his lip fixed. He is such a happy baby.

Santa always makes a visit to my parents house on Christmas Eve and by the time Santa left Douglas was going up to him and giving him kisses. Nothing like at the ward party last weekend.

Clint loves Santa. He had no problem going up to get his gifts from Santa.
I just love Christmas. It has always been my favorite holiday and it is even better now that the boys are older and get excited about opening gifts and seeing Santa. Like Bek our boys got new pj's for Christmas Eve and this year my mom decided to get Me and Tyrone new pj's too. We were going to take a family picture on Christmas morning with all of us in our new pj's but when we got home last night Douglas threw up all over his pj's. For some reason when we go to grandparents houses the kids eat sugar, sugar, sugar. Well that did not agree with Douglas. The family pj picture will have to be taken later.

Tis the season

Clint telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.
While taking family pictures for our Christmas cards Clint and Douglas climbed up on the bench and started saying "cheese"

One of the poses for our Christmas card.

Our Christmas tree.

Douglas not liking Santa too much. I was a mean mom and made him sit on Santa's lap before he could get the goodie bag.

70th Birthday Celebration

Mom and Dad
Dad with his children and grandchildren

Dad with his children and their spouses

Dad with his grandchildren

We had a big birthday party for my dad this weekend and after all of the guests left we took some family photos. The party was a big success. We sent out 50 invitations and about 1/2 came. Not bad considering it was a Friday night and it is a busy time of the year. We had a great time and I am glad that we got to celebrate my dad's big day with him.

Black Friday

Well, our Thanksgiving was great!!! We had Tyrone's mom, brother, sister-in-law and a friend over for dinner. Everything tasted wonderful and to top things off Tyrone was able to come home at 5:30pm so that made it even better.

Everyone was gone by 8:00pm and the kids were in bed. We were headed to bed when I got a call from my babysitter saying that she was sick and could not babysit for me in the morning (I was going to brave the cold weather and go up to Prescott for the shopping deals they had at the stores). Any how, we were on the phone till 9:00pm trying to find a sitter. We finally broke down and asked Tyrone's mom to babysit and she is such a life saver and said "yes"

I left Bagdad at 2:00am and got to Wal-Mart at 3:30am. Stood in line till 5:00am and got some really great deals. I am glad that I was able to go. I just wish that I could have talked Clint into taking a nap so that I could lay down. Oh well. It was well worth it.

I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and if you went shopping I hope that you got everything that you wanted and then some.

Family Pictures

On our way home from Camp Wood we saw these two cows fighting. They did not even care that we were standing there taking pictures.
This is Patti's pet deer. She is three years old and it is funny to hear the stories of what she does. She gets down on all four legs to eat the dog food when it is put out. She has even gone into the house while they were eating. She really does act like their pet.

Taking pictures with animals and kids don't mix.

We had to feed the deer dog food to get here to come to us with the kids standing there.

We decided that we were going to make our own Christmas cards again this year so we went to get a family picture taken with someone's pet deer. As you can tell by looking at the pictures it is quit difficult to get young children and animals to cooperate when it comes to taking pictures together. Needless to say we will be retaking the pictures because most of the good ones cut the top of Douglas's head off.

6 Years

This weekend we went down to Phoenix to celebrate our 6th anniversary. I cannot believe that I have known and been married to Tyrone for six years. We left for Phoenix Saturday morning so that we could do some shopping. Then we went to my parents house. We were all setting outside watching the kids play and the next thing we knew Douglas was crying. He had fallen next too a cactus and his right leg. I think we got them all out but his leg still looks bad. It must not have bothered him too bad because he continued running around and then played on the play ground at McDonalds.

Tyrone and I went to dinner at the Melting Pot in Scottsdale. What a place. It is a little on the pricey side but well worth it for a special event. It is not a place for young children because it takes about two hours to eat a four course meal. After dinner we went to a movie (which we haven't done in months). Wednesday is our actually anniversary but because it is in the middle of the week we celebrated a little early.

A funny thing that happened today while at church with my parents. The kids were all up at 4:00am and would not go back to sleep so around 9:30am they were ready for a nap. All of the kids (Clint. Douglas and my niece) feel asleep. During the middle of Sunday School Douglas wakes up and if you know Douglas he is not quiet. He says "Done, done" everyone starte laughing. Needless to say I hurried out the door and took him to nursery. Everyone thought it was funny and thought that he was cute. I couldn't help but laugh when it happened. My boys always seem to suprise me with things that they do and say. It is so fun watching them grow and learn.

That's My Boy!

Douglas always does something that makes me stop and think "you are just like your dad." So today I decided to vacuum the house while the boys were eating breakfast rather than shower. So by the time they were done eating I was ready to shower. I hate to leave Douglas unattended while I am in the shower because he gets into everything!!!!!!! So I move his high chair into the living room and buckle him in and give him some toys to play with. I get out of the shower and come out to check on the boys and Douglas has gotten out of his chair (buckle still done up) and is setting in the rocking chair.

We all are ready for church and I get the boys outside and lock the door. Douglas hurries over to talk to nippers (our dog) who is fenced in the side yard. No big deal it makes it easier to get Clint in the car and my things loaded so I turn around to go get Douglas and I don't see him in the yard he has managed to get past the fence and into nippers yard. How the heck did he do that. When he saw me coming he ran to the dog house and climbed in and would not come out. I had to threaten to spank him before he finally decided he should come out. When we got home from church he once again climbed into the yard to say "hi" to nippers again.

I just have to shake my head and laugh when Douglas does something. He is really just like his dad no matter what Tyrone says. It is great having two boys and is so funny to see how different they are. Clint is easy going and usually pretty good. Douglas is well sometimes my challenge. I was so happy two weeks ago we made it completely through sacrament meeting without having to leave. This week Douglas decided he was going to try and crawl under the pews. Not such a bad thing but as church was starting and he was still trying to crawl under the pews he was saying "bye, bye" You are so not leaving. So I decide to take him out and as we are walking past people he is telling them "bye". If it is the last thing I do he will learn to sit through sacrament metting. Maybe next week will be better as Tryone will be there to hold him.

Anyway I love my boys even when they want to stay home from church and play with the dog. They always make me laugh and I am glad that I have been blessed to raise them at this time.

Halloween

Here are just a few pictures of the boys at Halloween. My Mom sent the boys a card with money in it and they each got to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween. Douglas was suppose to be a scarecrow but he did not like wearing the hat. Clint was a glow in the dark skeleton. They got tons of candy and had lots of fun.

Visiting

I decided to take a little day trip up to Camp Wood and take lunch to Tyrone, my brother Jacob and my Dad. Of course when we got there they were out hunting again. I put the boys in the back of my dad's truck to let them run around. Clint was running from one end of the truck to the other when he took a nose dive. Here is what his nose looked like by the time we got home four hours later.

What a day

Today Douglas got tubes put in his ears. He did very good. His surgery was at 8:00am and we were out of there at 9:00am. The hardest part was when they came and got us so that we could go back with him after surgery. I could hear him crying. They are very disorineted when they are coming out of anesthia. We are suppose to keep him still today (HA!HA!) Like Douglas every sits still for anything. It helped that we had to drive for two hours. Hopefully this means that he will not as many ear infections as he has had in the past few months.

Clint is doing good. He has not gotten sick and hopefully it stays that way. He did tell us on the way home that he fell off of the toilet while my dad was watching him today. It was sooo funny. We were driving home and out of the blue he says, "I fell off of the toilet." So I asked him when and he said "today." Then Tyrone asked him if his Grandpa pushed him off of the toilet and Clint says "no, the toilet pushed me off." We had a good laugh at that comment. So everyone needs to be careful while on the toilet. Don't let it push you off.

Tyrone is home tonight. He will leave before sunup Wednesday to go hunting again. He will be gone for another week, unless he gets an elk before then. I can't wait till he get his elk so that he can come home to stay. He saw some elk on his way home Monday but because of time he could not take the time to go after them. Maybe this weekend he will get lucky and get his deer and elk at the same time. I know the boys and I really miss him when he is gone although we are thankful that he did get drawn for elk and deer because they provide alot of meat and with the price of food lately it would be very helpful to not have to spend at much on meat as we have been.

head ache

So Douglas fell off of the top bunk of their bunk bed. He hit his head on the way down. We ended up calling the paramedics because he started getting worse so we spent part of the day at the hospital getting ct scans. The fianl diagnosis is a concussion. Here is a picture of what he did to his head.

finally a solution

The last weekend of July Douglas was went to the doctor and we found out that he had a double ear infection. The doctor gave him medicine for 10 days. On the 18th of August when we went in for his 2-year well visit he had a left ear infection and put on a different medicine for four days. Two weeks later he had another double ear infection. Now we are into October and he still has a double ear infection and fluid in both ears. We went and saw the ENT yesterday and he recommended that Douglas get tubes in both ears. So on the 21st of October Douglas will get tubes put in. Maybe it will help hear hear and obey us better (HA! HA!).

No pictures

Sorry there will be no pictures of Douglas's birthday party. The good mother that I am I forgot to check my camera the day before and when I got it out to take pictures the battery was dead. He did have fun opening his gifts though.

Weekend

Saturday we celebrated Douglas's second birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Bell came up along with Cheyenne, Linda and Brandyn. Then Tyrone's brother Jake and his girlfriend Annie and Tyrone's mom. We went swimming at the public pool for an hour and a half then came back to the house and ate lunch and cake. We had to hurry and let Douglas open his gifts before eating because he was getting tired. He ended up going down for a nap before his party was over. Reguardless of the birthday boy having to go to bed during his party it was a big success.

Great News

I forgot to put in my post yesterday that I am a great aunt again. Todd and Tiffany had their baby boy (Gage Matthew Bell) Saturday, August 2, 2008. I have not seen pictures of him yet. He weighed in at 8lbs. and was 20 inches long. When I get pictures I will share.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Sorry I have not written in a while. I have been busy taking summer school and taking care of sick kids. I am finally almost done with my last summer class. I took my last test tonight and all I have left to do is the class evaluation on Wednesday. Douglas is just getting over a double ear infection and a rash that he got from the amoxicilin that he was taking. I hope that we are done being sick in this house and that things return to normal. I promise to write more later.

vacation

Linda, Brandyn, Cheyenne, Hannah and My Family went to San Diego this weekend. It was a busy time but everyone seemed to have a great time. We left early Friday morning and drove to the San Diego Zoo. We walked around the zoo from 1:00-7:00pm. It was neat to see all of the different animals and no they did not try to keep any of us.

Saturday we went to Sea World. What a day. We got a late start so we did not get there until 10:00am. We made up for the getting there late. We stayed until 11:00pm. The kids were such troopers. The boys finally fell asleep at 10:45pm. Some of us got soaked by the dolphins during the night show while others got soaked riding the rapids ride. The crazy thing, we all got wet at night when it was cold. Oh well, we all had a blast.

I hope you enjoy some of the pictures from our trip.

This was a great weekend. Tyrone suprised me and took Saturday and Sunday night off so that he could spend Mother's Day with me.
We went down to Phoenix Saturday and got pictures of the boys. I think they look handsome in the photos. Douglas did not want cooperate so it made it a little difficult but they turned out nice. Sunday we spent time with Tyrone's family and then relaxed the rest of the night. It was nice to spend time with both families this weekend.
