Happy New Year!!!!

It is not quite 2010 but I plan on going to bed shortly after I ring in the new year. We had friends over to help celebrate New Year's Eve. Tyrone and Tom both have to work tomorrow so they called it a night earlier than the rest. Mom and Crissy stayed till 11:00 and I let the boys stay up till 10:45pm (I hope they sleep in) Now I am just waiting for the clock to ring midnight so that I can go to bed. Although with all the food that I ate I may just stay up and walk/exercise so that I can loose all the weight that I gained tonight.

I love the new year because I can make new goals (and hopfully accomplish them). I hope that 2010 brings joy and happiness to everyone.

Tiffany, Todd and Gage

Here is hoping that my pictures uploaded to the computer earlier today. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas. Thursday the boys and I went down to Phoenix to celebrate Christmas Eve with my family. It was a blast. The boys each got their own suit case and a shake and go car. Clint also got a cool toy that teaches the letters and lots of other neat things. Douglas got a cool remote control car that spins around. I got new utensiles a pizza stone, pizza cutter and pastery roller. Tyrone got some tools that he wanted.

Chirstmas morning Tyrone's family came over for breakfast. Santa brought Clint a new bike, a Spongebob game that he wanted and a candy cane filled with m&m's. Santa brought Douglas a Leapster2 along with a carry case and 2 games, a small buzz lightyear and a candy cane filled with m&m's. We all got everything that we asked for plus more. It was nice spending time with family.

Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone???

Here it is 6:00am and already this is not a good day. Besides having a headache I am sad:( Last night when I got home our two dogs started fighting (looked like playing at first). In order to get our new dog to get off of and stop bitting we had to get the hose out and spray her with water. Not a good sign. Any way with two small children and with other children over all the time we (Tyrone and I) felt that it was not safe to keep her anymore. The bad thing is we really cannot give her to someone else because of her being agressive and the animal humane place would not keep her or try to adopt her out. With that said, Tyrone took her for a ride this morning:( When Douglas goes outside to play today I am sure he will ask "where his dog is." Boy sometimes having pets stinks. I just had to get this out because it makes me sad that we have to do this. I liked the dog too but I have to think of the safety of others and her agressive behavior is not safe. On that note. I hope everyone has a better day/week.

Thanksgiving

I just wanted to take a few minutes before heading down to Phoenix and tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving. I have always loved this time of year. There are so many things to be thankful for. This year happens to also be the day Tiffanie was born. She would be turning 6 this year but instead she is forever an infant. What a blessing to know that I will be able to raise her and be with her again. I also have my boys that I can enjoy at this time and even though they won't eat all of the yummy food that goes with Thanksgiving I know that they will be excited to celebrate a wonderful season. I am thankful for my family and love them soooooo much.

Modesty???

The boys wanted to go outside and play in the front yard this evening so I went out there and was sitting on the step erasing all of my old text messages. I look over to where the boys like to dig in the dirt (next to the wall that seperates our yard from the neighbors) and Douglas has his pants down to his ankles and is peeing in the hole. I told him to pull his pants up and informed him that we do not pee outside we pee in the toilet. He looks at me with his three year old face and says I was just peeing outside. I just had to chuckle and hope that this does not continue as he gets older.

Hiccups

The boys and I were coming back from Phoenix the other day and Clint had the hiccups. This is the conversation we had.

C: "I have the hiccups"
M: "yes you do."
C: "will you scare me so that my hiccups will leave?"
M: (in a normal voice) "boo"
C: "no, I still have them"
M: "oh, " (still in a normal voice) "uh, boo"
C: after waiting a few seconds "they are gone. When you scared me they just left."

I just laughed. So there you have it if you have the hiccups just have someone scare you and they will leave for sure.

Giving Thanks

Here it is 1:30am and I am up updating my blog because thanks to Douglas, who was up several times between 12:00 and 12:45am and also due to the little dinner dilemma I cannot get my brain to shut down so that I can go back to sleep. (I'm sure I will regret being up at this time in the morning:)

Any way, one of the things going through my head was a paper that Clint brought home from school today. With the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner his teacher sent a paper home that asked what the kids were thankful for and why. As I was asking him and writing down his responses I was thinking about things that I was thankful for and thought I would share a few. (in no particular order)

-my trials: because when I finally make it through them I am usually a stronger person
-Clint: because he is such a sweet spirited child. He comes up with some great things and I just love him to death!!
Douglas: He helps me work on my patience and I do love him!!
Tyrone: he is an honest, hardworking husband who loves me and all of my flaws
Our Savior: For taking my pain, sorrow, and sin and suffering for me so that I can repent and return to live with our Heavenly Father some day.
family: because they are always there for me no matter what.
friends: because they too are always there for me and help me become a better person.

There are many other things that I am thankful for but if I list all of them I will either bore you or you will stop reading my post because they are dull. So hopefully now I will be able to get to sleep again.

Kicked off the bus

A few weeks ago a good friend decided to start a "structured play group" with some of her sons 3-4 year old friends. Parents drop their child off and for two hours and then she brings them home on here 10 passenger van (aka "the bus"). Well Douglas has managed to get out of two different seats a few times on the ride home. (Mind you we live in a small town) It would not be so bad if he would sit in his seat but no he has to get up and stand by his teacher as she is driving. So last Thursday, after having to stop twice to put him back in the seatbelt, his teacher told me he could not ride the bus home. Of course this makes Douglas very sad because all of his friends get to ride the bus home and he has to come home with me. I think it is funny that my pre pre-schooler has already been kicked off of the bus and he has only been going to pre-school for two weeks. He is his father's son. haha!!

Slacker

Ok, I admit I have not done very good at blogging. There has been alot of things happening lately. Douglas has started going to a "structured play group" two days a week. He loves it. He gets to play, learn, and eat a snack. Clint loves going to pre-school. He is doing so good and learning a lot of new things.

Douglas celebrated his third birthday in August. He is also potty trained:) No more diapers!!!!!! They grow up so fast it is hard for me to believe that he is already three. I have tons of pictures but am having trouble with my computer downloading the pictures onto the computer so I will post pictures when I figure out how to get them onto the computer.

That is about all that is going on in our lives right now. Hopefully I will get better at blogging again.

School

Well, today is the day. Clint started Pre-School today. He goes Monday-Thursday for three hours. He is soooooo excited to finally be able to go to school. He got a Spiderman backpack for his birthday this year and he would always fill it full of books and toys and say "I am going to Spiderman school." Now he really gets to go to school (just not Spiderman school).

I am a little sad that he is going to school because that means that he is growing up and sometimes I wish I could just keep them little and with me forever but I know he has to grow up other wise who will take care of me and Tyrone when we get really old? (haha)

Garden Pics

What our garden looked like before javelina ate most of it:( Good news is it is starting to grow back:)

Deer Farm

We took the boys and my niece to the Deer Farm this past weekend. I think the kids had a blast. It was sooooo cute. The boys were excited to see the deer and when we walked in all of the deer came over to us and tried eating the food out of the cups so both the boys dumped all of the food onto the ground and hurried out of the way. The deer loved that but would follow us around trying to get more food.

Where has my garden gone?

We planted a garden of watermelon, tomatoes, bell peppers, and pumpkins. Last week we noticed that our tomatoes were all gone the plants still there but the almost ripe tomatoes gone along with some of our watermelons.

Needless to say we were very sad cause we were thrilled because it is the first year that our garden has done this good. Any way, yesterday I had someone weedeat the weeds in the back and low and behold there were more tomatoes growing and we had 6 watermelon!!!!!! The good news is we found out who/what ate the veggies. It was a BIG javalina! He even had the nerve to try and eat more from our garden this morning but we scared him off. Our veggis are safe for now.

We usually go camping every Memorial weekend but this year we postponed it because Tracy and Hannah came for a visit and Tracy wanted to go camping. It was a fun weekend. Everyone seemed to have a great time. I have more pictures and stories to tell but I have to go for now. I will post more later.

Graduation Day

This is a little late but I have been slacking on my posting. My nephew Todd graduated high school at the end of May. I cannot believe that he is out of high school and headed off to college.
