B-Day Pictures

Clint opening his presents. It was funny he would unwrap them, look at them then drop them on the floor and move onto the next gift.
He got a BB gun. (scary, I know)

He wanted a Tinker Bell cake for his birthday. I finally talked him into having a Peter Pan cake with a few Tinker Bells. This is the cake I made in the shape of a ship with some pirates and Tinker Bells.

The "pirate" ship before all of the decorations. Yes I made it and frosted it by looking at a picture. Tyrone did the skull.

5 years

Today is Clint's 5th birthday. It is hard to believe that he is 5-years-old today. I still remember the day he was born. What a blessing he has been in our lives. He is so excited that it is his birthday and that he gets to take cup cakes to school today. I hope that he has a great day. I love you Clint:)

?????

This weekend we went down to Phoenix to celebrate my mom's birthday and Clint's birthday (pictures coming soon.). We went down Friday afternoon. On the way down I realized that I packed everyone's church clothes except mine. I did get my shoes. Then Saturday we went to Cheyenne's dance recital and at 4pm everyone came over to my parents house for the birthday parties. Everyone had tons of fun.

Sunday we went to church with my parents. I took Douglas to the Sunbeam class and after rolling around on the floor and telling the Primary Pres. that "he was not her son" he finally sat down and drew a picture. On the way to class he got away and ran into the class Clint was in. After getting him and taking him back to his class I went to my class. I found out later that Douglas got away from his teacher again and this time ran into the chapel (where the other ward was having sacrament meeting) He ran up to the choir seats. This time Tyrone was lucky enough to be there so he went in and got Douglas. To top things off when I went to get him after church was over he had once again gotten away without anyone noticing. Needless to say when Tyrone found him first Douglas was not happy.

The good news out of that story is that Douglas went to him primary class without crying/screaming the entire time:) Hopefully next Sunday he will go to primary again without throwing a fit.

Do I really want to be a Sunbeam????

With the new year comes a new primary class for the kids. With Douglas being 3 he no longer gets to go to nursery he is now a Sunbeam. All of last week I told him that he gets to go to "big boy" primary because he is now a big boy. He was ok with this news as he likes to remind me that he is a "big little boy".

Tyrone takes Douglas in to his new teachers as Douglas is trying to convince Tyrone to take him to nursery because he wants to go to primary. To make matters worse I am the music leader in primary so I am in there for the first hour. Not a good combination because Douglas is not as well behaved when I am around (must be a 3-year-old thing). Anyway Douglas was crying and trying to go to nursery all of singing time. Anyway as his teacher was holding him Douglas tells him "let go of my arm I have to scratch my bum."

I guess this week we need to work on trying to convince Douglas that being a Sunbeam is cool so that he will want to go next week.
