Thanksgiving

I just wanted to take a few minutes before heading down to Phoenix and tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving. I have always loved this time of year. There are so many things to be thankful for. This year happens to also be the day Tiffanie was born. She would be turning 6 this year but instead she is forever an infant. What a blessing to know that I will be able to raise her and be with her again. I also have my boys that I can enjoy at this time and even though they won't eat all of the yummy food that goes with Thanksgiving I know that they will be excited to celebrate a wonderful season. I am thankful for my family and love them soooooo much.

Modesty???

The boys wanted to go outside and play in the front yard this evening so I went out there and was sitting on the step erasing all of my old text messages. I look over to where the boys like to dig in the dirt (next to the wall that seperates our yard from the neighbors) and Douglas has his pants down to his ankles and is peeing in the hole. I told him to pull his pants up and informed him that we do not pee outside we pee in the toilet. He looks at me with his three year old face and says I was just peeing outside. I just had to chuckle and hope that this does not continue as he gets older.

Hiccups

The boys and I were coming back from Phoenix the other day and Clint had the hiccups. This is the conversation we had.

C: "I have the hiccups"
M: "yes you do."
C: "will you scare me so that my hiccups will leave?"
M: (in a normal voice) "boo"
C: "no, I still have them"
M: "oh, " (still in a normal voice) "uh, boo"
C: after waiting a few seconds "they are gone. When you scared me they just left."

I just laughed. So there you have it if you have the hiccups just have someone scare you and they will leave for sure.

Giving Thanks

Here it is 1:30am and I am up updating my blog because thanks to Douglas, who was up several times between 12:00 and 12:45am and also due to the little dinner dilemma I cannot get my brain to shut down so that I can go back to sleep. (I'm sure I will regret being up at this time in the morning:)

Any way, one of the things going through my head was a paper that Clint brought home from school today. With the Thanksgiving holiday just around the corner his teacher sent a paper home that asked what the kids were thankful for and why. As I was asking him and writing down his responses I was thinking about things that I was thankful for and thought I would share a few. (in no particular order)

-my trials: because when I finally make it through them I am usually a stronger person
-Clint: because he is such a sweet spirited child. He comes up with some great things and I just love him to death!!
Douglas: He helps me work on my patience and I do love him!!
Tyrone: he is an honest, hardworking husband who loves me and all of my flaws
Our Savior: For taking my pain, sorrow, and sin and suffering for me so that I can repent and return to live with our Heavenly Father some day.
family: because they are always there for me no matter what.
friends: because they too are always there for me and help me become a better person.

There are many other things that I am thankful for but if I list all of them I will either bore you or you will stop reading my post because they are dull. So hopefully now I will be able to get to sleep again.
