One With Nature

A couple of weeks ago we took one of Tyrone's friends from work out to Camp Wood for a cookout and to go spot lighting. The boys were to excited to roast marshmellows but they insisted on finding their own sticks for the roasting instead of using the clean roasting sticks that we brought. It's a good thing that a little dirt never hurt anyone.

black thumb

I know this may seem like a silly blog post but I am so excited. I have had these roses for over a year and they started blooming earlier this month and when I looked out the door this morning I noticed that I had roses and they are beautiful!!!! I also got a really pretty plant for Easter and it is still alive and doing well. Maybe I do not have a black thumb any more.

bunnies, eggs, & chicks

This is the 2nd time that my pictures have done this. For some reason I cannot get them to move. These are pictures of the kids coloring eggs. Douglas kept picking up the already colored eggs and trying to stick them into the purple water. Luckily we stopped him before he accomplished his goal. I think they cracked half of the eggs because they would just drop them into the water instead of putting them in gently. At least they had fun which is what really matters.
I love this time of year because it makes me stop and think about everything that our Savior did for me. I hope that everyone has a great Easter Sunday.

This is what we got in the mail yesterday. We have 27! YES you read right 27 baby chicks. They are soooooo cute. The box in the first picture is what they were all crammed into. The boys love to stand and look at them. Clint will pet them if someone is holding one and Douglas says "they eat me" and backs away from whoever is holding one. I already have my favorite and am trying to come up with a name for it if you have any suggestions let me know.Saturday, April 4, 2009
